People often come up to me after a Create the Crossover presentation and express interest in running a race through Dribble the World. Very few, however, actually go for it! But after hearing about Dribble the World at a teen leadership camp last summer, Kathy Kelly is ready to dribble Disney’s Princess Half Marathon this Sunday, February 27!
Kathy has chosen to raise awareness and funds for two quality organizations that are literally saving lives:
Be the Match “offers you the unique opportunity to help a patient in need by donating bone marrow or umbilical cord blood” and is “dedicated to raising the funds needed to help all patients get the transplant they need.” As Dribble the World labors to share the love of Jesus with those in poverty and oppression globally, we can sometimes forget that there are preventable deaths in our own country that we can do something about!
World Vision “is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.” Imagine if instead of cancer we heard daily about people in our country dying from parasites, malaria, diarrhea, polio, yellow fever, and tetanus? Kathy has chosen to raise funds to stock World Vision Health Clinics in poverty stricken areas with medicines that will save lives from preventable diseases! Check out their amazing work in this video:
100% of all donations will be split between Be the Match and World Vision. You can make a tax deductible donation online on the right side of this page or mail a check to
Ball for Lives, Inc. * 395 Park Ave * Fairview, NJ 07022
You can also visit our Donation FAQ’s Page for more information.
Most of all, spread the word about Dribble the World and Kathy’s race this Sunday. Link this post to your facebook page and help make her race huge!
It truly is amazing how God moves in our lives to intersect our paths with others. Thank you Kathy for spreading our vision of Dribble the World!
